§ 03 · The 85% rule

Show up, earn the certificate.

Our one firm rule. The good news: most students sail past it without thinking.

Minimum attendance
85%
86%

You’re at 12 of 14

On track for your certificate.

To receive your end-of-course certificate, you need to attend at least 85% of your scheduled lessons. We track this through the attendance form you’ll submit before every class.

Life happens. If you know you’re going to miss something (illness, travel, a clash at work) tell your teacher early so we can plan around it.

Why it matters. Language learning is cumulative. Missing two weeks in a row sets you back further than you’d think, and your certificate is on the line.

§ 04 · Common questions

Everything else you might wonder.

The questions we hear most from new students. Don’t see yours? Ask your teacher or admin.

What happens on my first day?

+

Your teacher welcomes you, walks through the lesson policy, and helps you submit your first attendance form. After that, expect a relaxed first lesson: introductions, a short speaking activity, and an overview of what’s ahead.

Do I need to take the placement test before class?

+

Yes, please complete it before your first lesson if at all possible. It only takes about 15 minutes and helps us make sure you’re in the right group.

Where do I find my lesson materials?

+

Your teacher will share a link to your course folder during the first class. All worksheets, slides, and audio files live there. No separate logins needed.

What if I have to miss a lesson?

+

Let your teacher know in advance whenever possible. Remember the 85% attendance requirement: if you fall below it, you won’t be eligible for your end-of-course certificate.

Who do I contact if something goes wrong?

+

Your teacher is your first point of contact for anything class-related. For administration, payments, or technical issues, email marketing@unilangeducation.com.

Can I switch class times or levels later?

+

Often, yes. Speak to your teacher first, then admin will help arrange it. Switching is easiest in the first two weeks before things settle.

Stuck? We’ve got you.

Your teacher is the fastest answer for anything class-related. For everything else (payments, scheduling, technical hiccups) admin is one email away.
